Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes: "This opens with dark aromas of leather, tobacco, cured meat, plum and prune. It shows soft tannins and loads of dark fruit on the finish."
Right away I picked up on the smoky bouquet it gave off with a slight aroma of tobacco to compliment. On the palate it was very velvety, playing off that smokiness, and extremely dry. I found the tannins to be overpowering any fruit flavors that may have been incorporated and therefore feel this wine was a bit young. Perhaps aged a few more years it would be more appealing.
